Chief Regional Officer, North East & North West
Brian has been a senior healthcare leader in Ontario’s North for many years and is highly regarded for his compassionate, inclusive, and strategic leadership approach. As the Regional Lead (Interim) for Ontario Health North Region and CEO of the North West and North East LHINs, he successfully led his teams through the dual challenges of responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and transitioning the LHINs to a new governance, leadership and operating model, all while ensuring a primary focus on patient care services.
Beginning in 2009, Brian held a wide range of progressively senior roles with the North West LHIN across multiple functions, including Chief Information Officer, Chief Operating Officer, healthcare system funding and performance management, risk management, communications and engagement, quality, finance and corporate services. Previously, he served in a number of senior academic and administrative positions at Confederation College in Thunder Bay, as well as financial and administrative leadership roles in the private sector.
Born, raised and educated in Northern Ontario, Brian is passionately committed to the health and well-being of the North, including Indigenous and Francophone communities.
