Chief Communications and Engagement Officer
Louise is an experienced senior executive with deep strategic communications, policy, advocacy, issue management and stakeholder relations expertise. She has advised CEOs and Boards of Directors in the public, regulatory and business sectors building high performing teams in each setting.
As Chief Communications and Engagement Officer, Louise maintains oversight of corporate affairs. Joining Ontario Health early on, she developed Ontario Health’s corporate affairs function, providing counsel across the organization. She is passionate about supporting a strong and effective health care system and serving and supporting patients and health care providers.
Prior to joining Ontario Health, she served as Associate Registrar at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, leading several areas including policy, communications, external relations and governance. She also led policy and media relations at one of Canada’s largest business advocacy associations and held a number of senior staff positions in the Ontario government.
An accomplished athlete at the national and international levels, Louise was a triple gold medalist at the Sprint Canoeing World Championships (2003).
