Susan DeRyke

Chief Regional Officer, Central and West Region

Susan is a well-known and highly respected health care leader with extensive experience in the acute, community and home care sectors, as well as expertise in government relations and communications. She brings to Ontario Health a demonstrated capacity to identify emerging issues, opportunities and delivery models and to work with partners to enable innovative approaches to system-oriented integration and change initiatives.

Previously Susan has held progressively senior leadership positions at Lakeridge Health, as Interim President & CEO as well as Executive Vice President and Chief Transformation Officer. During her tenure, she established strong partnerships, collaborated with government partners, and developed and executed transformative strategies to build towards a fully integrated system of care in Durham Region.

She has also served in vice presidential roles at William Osler Health System, William Osler Health System Foundation, Headwaters Health Care Centre and Central West CCAC, where she provided leadership to a regional, integrated team of multi-disciplinary professionals responsible for strategy development, service quality, community relations, patient experience, marketing and communications.

As Chief Regional Officer, Susan works with leaders, team members and system partners across the Central and West regions to advance Ontario Health’s vision, mission and mandate.
